This graceful pendant can be worn with the stone pointing up or down on it's matching hammered choker. It features a striking banded black natural stone called Psilomelane, which is made of a combination of barium oxides and manganese oxides. According to one of my jewelry magazines it is formed "in active tectonic regions, where reactions between cold seawater and the fiery expulsions of geothermal vents, strip materials from the surrounding bedrock." Much later, crustal plate lifting exposes the mineral in several places in the world.
Just imagine, from the bottom of the ocean, to your neck……..all it took was a few million years!
