The beautiful blending of purple, blue and dark gray hues in this stone reminded me of Portuguese Man-of-War animals that I see washed up on our coast.  They float along on the ocean's surface, with their tentacles hanging down to capture small fish.  This unusual pin measures almost 4" in length.
