This beautiful wildflower grows in my garden in North Carolina.  Each Spring the greenery emerges from under a bed of oak and hickory leaves and then produces a single white flower.  As the weeks progress, the flower becomes more and more pink.  Trilliums get their name from the characteristic of producing parts in multiples of three; series of 3 leaves, 3 petals, 6 stamen, etc.  I made this pin with very white .999 fine silver petals and 14K yellow gold for the stamen.
